Now that we are safely back in the U.K. I wanted to thank you for everything you did for us, both in the build up to our recent Sleeping at Everest Base Camp Trek, but especially for all your care and concern in ensuring that my wife, Rosemary Campbell, was properly looked after when she began to struggle with the effects of altitude.
Notwithstanding that events turned out so unexpectedly for us, we nonetheless greatly enjoyed the trek and were very impressed by the quality of the organisation you and Ian, together with Dawa and Kay, have built on the ground in Nepal.
When I met Ian at Pheriche, I was to be honest overwrought with worry for Rosemary at that stage and it was impressive to see the effort which the team on the ground, and in Kathmandu, put into ensuring that I could catch up with Rosemary and accompany her to hospital. All of this in an environment where communications and getting things to happen are notoriously difficult to achieve.
Thank you and Ian again so much. It is when things go wrong that an organisation proves its mettle and you both certainly delivered on that.
I am already starting to plan my next trek.
