I just wanted to give you a little bit of feedback after our fantastic weekend up in Scotland.  Both Kathy and I felt the training session was brilliant.  Adele and her co-instructor Andy were both very experienced and competent and flew the flag for Ian Taylor Trekking very professionally!  We both feel much more prepared for our Mera and Island Peak trip as a consequence.  I’m sure by now you’ll have seen the many photos and videos on social media, that show the very snowy conditions.

We were provided with loads of information and guidance on everything from tying knots to experience based tips to help us manage the cold and high altitude conditions.  The practical training included and equipment briefing, an ascent of a snow and ice covered Monroe, ladder crossing with crampons, basic rope, abseiling and jumaring techniques and then put into practice on a 100 foot crag.  All really great fun and very relevant.  Adele answered every question we could think of and I have to say we were all impressed by her track record and huge experience.
