Overview

Climb Carstensz on a NEW ROUTE and claim one of the coveted seven summits.

Climbing Carstensz Pyramid has its climbing and regional challenges, but this adventure into the Papua tribal region is a real adventure. We have two itineraries of offer. We have a new route into Carstensz from the south or helicopter in from the north. Our new itinerary offers a hike into base camp starting at 1,600m up to Base Camp at 3,600m. Alternatively hire a hypoxic chamber and acclimatize at home. Then travel by helicopter into Base Camp 4,300m to avoid the tricky conditions on route to climbing Carstensz. Get in, climb and get back to planning your next seven summit. We send a western guide on all our Carstensz.

Our new hiking and climbing option is the new standard in climbing Carstensz from the south. The helicopter option is available but more expensive. The benefit of our trip is optimal acclimatization on a safer route into Carstensz.

The longer jungle trek into climb Carstensz is a three week commitment hiking through tribal villages, with logistical challenges on the group. We do not recommend this option to anyone.

Our exciting Carstensz adventure is like nothing else and your journey through the jungle will be an experience you will never forget. You will experience remote living like nowhere else and experience local life and experience this less traveled part of the world.

The costs USD $19,500 based on a minimum of 4 climbers.
