Last July I had the chance to participate on ITT Trek to Mount Elbrus in Russia.
It was a great experience. I had been with Ian in Kilimanjaro and Everest Base Camp but it still impresses me the excellent program in terms of acclimatization and preparation for a successful and safe summit. As in the previous trips we had a 100% success for all the crew!
This time was my first experience with ice axe, crampons and carabinars but it was always easy and super safe. We had the proper training during the trek and the climbing was amazing!
And as in previous trips we had great local guides and staff supporting Ian. We felt both in home and at living the culture and lifestyle of the country. Russia didn’t sound as exotic as Africa or Nepal at the beginning but the region is beautiful and so peaceful. Some days we didn’t see any people at all! And Viktor and Luba made were great company.
I really recommend this trip. Now is time to plan the next one for me!!
Thanks Ian, Viktor, Luba and all the guys that made it possible.
